Council Personal Profile

I’ve been privileged to serve as your Councillor since 2013.  I am Hokianga-born and live in Kaikohe. Elodie and I have been actively involved in business, community development and charitable projects in the District. 

My passion is to see thriving communities assisted by effective local government delivering core services for less.  One that is accountable to its local communities through empowered community boards and communities. 

• Local people creating local solutions to local problems.  
• Improving governance and oversight, focusing on affordability, removing unnecessary bureaucracy and waste, and reducing administration overheads by 25% this term. 
• Seeking innovative, pragmatic, cost-effective, alternative ways to deliver services for less, by creating a can do culture, enabling policies and planning that make it easier to build, do business, learn, work and play.
